I have MassHealth and then I have another health insurance specific to my doctors office that is also under MassHealth. I want to switch to a new pcp doctors office. The doctor said that they were credentialed with my secondary MA Health insurance (Even though it is a different doctors office). It is a brand new office that just opened. MassHealth said that they are not credentialed under the plan. They did say that I won’t have to cancel my appointment, and they let me change my plan, but they said it could take up to 30 days to change my plan and I could be denied. What should I do? The doctor did say they would call MassHealth on my behalf if worse comes to worse. Should be concerned?
