I am a male 31 years of age looking for healthcare coverage in Tennessee. Recently I have talks via phone with multiple people. Unfortunately I have been scammed now 4 times this week alone. (Some people never learn I guess) I am trying to get basic coverage that I can afford. Nothing more. I have gone through United health three times and each one I was told to cancel as they were triterm and short term. Again I am looking for basic coverage and was told neither of these plans are what I want. I applied again for another plan through golden rule and was told yet again it’s a scam. I also tried to set up a vision plan with one but have been told it’s actually real but I should cancel anyways just to get health and vision coupled together. I’ve received no less than aphone call or text every 15 minutes since monday this week. I applied for healthcare first through the us gov website. Then through tenn gov website. Neither of them were real policies or policies I was looking for. One of them went through a company called chesapeake bay and I found out they gave me bunk contact info and took a fee from my account already that is not refundable.
I just need basic coverage and I don’t know where to look anymore. The “brokers” I keep dealing with are leaving information out or telling me a lie according to the next. Where can I turn now for affordable coverage? I’ve tried getting only screening and evaluations for a couple places but most seem to be around 400 which is double if not more than my price range. Any help is pleasing but I’m so very lost and tired of getting scammed.
