Long story short, I had a seizure at an urgent care facility and was taken to hospital by an out-of-network ambulance. Important to note that I was unconscious when they called. I had some tests done at the hospital (ultrasound and x-ray). The hospital was in-network.
I am dreading the bill I’m going to receive. Will I have to pay the full price of ambulance despite having no choice in what company it was from? My insurance is through Anthem Blue Cross. How is this even fair/legal?
