TN – Dependent mother (55) with medical conditions unable to work, lost Tenncare coverage

This is the first place I turn to, but I will begin my own research soon after, but anyway – my mom has several health conditions, such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, amongst other things, including having open heart surgery last year, suffering from long haulers COVID, and needing hernia surgery in the coming months, or so we thought.

It seems as if she was only eligible as my brother was eligible (he is 22 next month) but he was never her dependent, as she has been mine for several years, while the three of us live together. She received a call last week stating her coverage and my brother’s has been terminated, and at the time she was told “they don’t know why” but would send paperwork to appeal it. She just called me and said because my brother aged out, this rendering her ineligible for any type of coverage. (not sure if she was told this via mail paperwork or phone call)

She requires medications/treatments for her survival. She is not physically able to work.

What on Earth is our next step from here?

Edit: also just to state it, she owns no property, has zero income, owns no assets or has any money, she is 100% dependent on me, and I myself am of average income for small town Tennessee
