I have 3 choices of insurance Ambetter, Oscar and BCBS on the healthcare.gov marketplace. I have psorasis and use biologic medications that are provided by specialty pharmacies. BCBS uses Accredo which has horrible reviews, Ambetter uses Acura terrible reviews and Oscar uses CVS specialty pharmacy terrible reviews. (Also only uses CVS for regular prescriptions but that’s another rant š).
Having only 1 provider and that provider being guaranteed a large group of customers only leads to older equipment, lower paid workers, etc because the customers can’t go anywhere else. If they have a plan thru the marketplace they have to stick with it thru the end of the year. If they have employee coverage they would have to quit their job or pay full price for individual insurance. So they stay.
