Hey guys.
My mom is 62 years old, uninsured, and unemployed. My father on the other hand barely works (he was diagnosed with stage IV spindle cell carcinoma and is on life time immunotherapy). He is thankfully covered-he’s 65 years old. They both live in Miami, FL. I was wondering if anyone knew of some affordable options for my mom or whether she would be to enroll in any sort of “cheap” insurance… or catastrophic insurance. Our family doesn’t make much, my dad is a middle school teacher. I’m an only child going to medical school and before stepping into this new journey I just want to make sure my parents are okay. I already took some years off to help my dad financially but I think I really need to start medical school if I want to do this thing!
I’m open to any advice. Thank you.
