Turned 26, have employer group insurance and was under parent’s at same time

I turned 26 end of March. I live in Illinois. I enrolled into my works group insurance during open enrollment so I am covered. My parents put me as a dependent again for the first 3 months until I got kicked off.

The thing is, I have been on a Medical LOA since November 2021. I lost my parent’s coverage. I need my work’s group insurance to get care, but I’m also subject to losing the coverage, employment, and having to pay that gap.

What are options right now? Employee resources and benefits have been misleading or told me different information on the same question for the past 5 months. What is COBRA? Did I miss my window to stay covered? Am I eligible for a special enrollment period because I just turned 26, but I had my own work insurance? How do I get help in Illinois for this? Is Medicaid an option for me?
