This question relates to my father as health insurance here in the states ( California) can be confusing. He needs knee replacement surgery as he’s in constant pain / can barley walk. His deductible is 2000 & max out of pocket is around 3600. My questions are
Insurance said they’ll cover 75% meaning he has to pay the other 25%.. if that 25% is greater than the 3600 what’s the point of max out of pocket.
Doctor wants a surgery deposit. Any idea what that is, how much that could be etc . Never in my life had I heard about such a thing.
