United Heath Care for 26 year old?

Just got kicked of dads insurance and I’m new to US health care industry. Recently graduated college and will be starting a banking internship soon, but Im starting part time and benefits only apply to full time. I planed on purchasing some health insurance temporarily until I’m offered employer sponsored plan. I basically came across United health choice plus network PPO.

I’ve recently been in contact with a licensed consultant and he recommended this plan. Heathy individual with no pre-existing conditions. Given my current situation, I wouldn’t of been able to apply for Medicaid, and private market place plans wouldn’t been too expensive. I’m currently employed but I live with my parents, and my dads annual salary before taxes alone would disqualify me according to him.

$232.00 a month. Day to day coverage $0 deductible for day to day things. Catastrophic coverage $3,000 deductible with 100% coinsurance. Accident and bodily injury protection $500 deductible and it covers up to $10,000. Accident and catastrophic deductibles don’t have to be met unless I break a bone or dire medical emergencies. I also added dental for an additional cost.

Part of me is thinking it’s a scam. The consultant needed me to provide banking account and routing number on the application, and stated it was for “ making sure the applicant is real”. I have his info and license number, supposedly, but I still think it’s weird. Nothings officially but I wanted your thoughts.
