I was told to fill out a medicaid application because I’m a student with <$10,000 of income a year. I have maybe >$50,000 of liquid assets ,but when I filled out the medicaid application it never made me list assets.
I was also told to try healthcare.gov and see if I can get a discounted rate, but the problem with that is that it says that I don’t qualify for a discounted rate because I qualify for medicaid.
I know Louisiana has an extended medicaid program, I’m not sure if that’s hurting me.
The insurance that’s offered on healthcare.gov without any kind of discount/ assistance is super expensive – like $6-700/month.
What should I do? I’ve tried looking for answers online about medicaid qualifications but got mixed answer’s.
Thank you very much for the help
