So I was using Healthcare.gov to peruse some coverage options during the COVID special enrollment period. I selected a plan from Blue Cross (Michigan) to get some more information. It said a payment must be made to begin coverage, and I hadn’t entered any payment info, so I didn’t realize selecting a plan actually committed me to that plan. Next thing I know I receive an insurance card and a bill in the mail. Maybe I missed some fine print somewhere, but am I committed to paying this bill now? I just wanted to see my options!
