I have an HMO. I went out of state. I bumped into problems not not being able to find a doctor in that area to accept me. And even if they would, my insurance would not cover it.
This makes me think ‘shit maybe I should get PPO someday?’
But a few things dawn on me
Question in the title There is a specific doctor who is a specialist who I want to see eventually who is outside of my healthcare insurance area just barely outside its geographical limits. I have his name and NPI number. What should I do to shop for health insurance that he will accept? PPO will help w/ docs in other states than your home state right? But it does you no good if they are not on the network? And also does you no good if doctors in a new area aren’t accepting new patients + are massively booked
What would you recommend?
