I’m a nurse without the reassurance for insurance starting next year. I got hired at a new place last month that told me it would take 2 weeks for my access to my open enrollment. 2 weeks came and went and the link showed up. I was told I had 30 days post link availability to sign up which would be December 31st. I got a letter a few days ago saying my time has expired. Now I filed an appeal which may get rejected in the next 3 weeks. So my partner offered for me to go on his. We live together (10 months now) but don’t share a bank account together. And we are on the apartment lease together currently. Do I need to file for domestic partnership at the courthouse or can we just add me as a partner on his insurance (Aetna) Any information would help please. Our ages are (24F and 28M) and zip code 78232. Income $100,000 total. I don’t know if I could get on Obamacare due to my income or circumstances.
