What to do when a doctors office sends you bills for things that you weren’t told about?

My current health insurance with my employer is Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey – I went for an office visit 8 months ago for a routine check up and some blood work. I saw that doctor and got a flu shot while I was there (they randomly asked me if I wanted one and said sure) then got the blood work done some days after. THEN the doctor left or quit or something.

Went back to the same office recently and saw a different doctor but it was a follow up appointment to go over my blood work from 8 months ago.

I received a Bill for the fucking flu shot last year all the sudden! 200 something dollars – what can I do here? If they told me I was going to be billed I wouldn’t have accepted the flu shot.

I also randomly owe 100 something for the follow up visit from the doctor that left from my insurance company, was told my visits were “non routine”. Wth is going on here? What can I do besides call them?
