I’m a young gay men new to the US. Abroad I used to get comprehensive std screenings every 3-4 months (that means swab tests and not only the standard blood/urine tests). I have an health insurance through my employer here that I never used yet.
How should I go about getting such screenings in here? What is the exact process and what should i do to make sure it is covered? The insurance (Aetna) phoneline were useless (they said I need to find a PCP, schedule a meeting with them, and then ask them about it).
