I am having out-patient back surgery and we are having a child this year. I’m reasonably certain I will max out my out-of-pocket limit this year…Its open enrollment and I need to decide on a plan. Do I go with:
1.) High deductible ($6K) with HSA (employer contributes $600 annually). I pay 100% until the ded. hits…
2.) Low deductible ($1K) w/ max out-of-pocket at $6K. This is comprehensive plan (20% after ded. hits) with out of network coverage.
I feel like its #1 for sure for the tax free money and the employer contributions, right?
