Hi guys. I have my insurance to my employer. It is a random bargain company that most people have not heard of.
I know all insurance sucks, but this place seems to have no process in place—no one from the company knows what theyre doing and the representatives contradict each other often.
In this particular scenario, they denied a claim for a doctor—when asked, representatives say they have no idea why it was denied and cant tell me why, they say thats not their job? They suggested I appeal, which I did, but after I send in the appeal they told me that my particular plan has a clause where I can’t appeal. These types of situations happen often. Their inconsistent denials and ‘wrong advice’ is costing me a ton of money.
Edit: I’m about 30 years old, income $50K, zipcode is near 77030.
My question: Is there an agency (government agency I assume) that I can complain to if my medical insurance is being unfair? Insurance refuses to re-review or escalate this situation.
