I have BCBS (Blue Advantage Silver HMO) and my PCP is considered in network (the official BCBS states as such and on his associated site he’s also apparently in network), but for some reason my estimated cost for a physical out of pocket is $168 (with a self pay discount included).
Is this normal? This is my first time having personal health insurance, and my first time with BCBS, so I don’t know if this isn’t something that’s resolved after the appointment, or if it should be factored into this estimate.
My PCP co-pay is supposed to be free, even says so on my card.
