I acquired exogenous ochronosis from using hydroquinone, the doctor didn’t warn me that those with darker skin have more adverse reactions and as a result part of my face has a dark dermal pigment that can’t be covered by makeup. It’s been two years and it hasn’t faded even with the use of tretinion + skin lighteners + chemical peels.
The final stage is to get laser treatments, I researched enough to deduce that alexandrite laser is the most effective option, can I get insurance to pay for it since a therapeutic process the doctor suggested caused me to develop this condition?
I’m currently on this insurance plan: https://docs.ucare.org/filer_public/f5/00/f500c731-d748-4f03-a8b3-36ec48671444/reconstructive-cosmetic_health_services.pdf
