Hey all,
A little perturbed about a recent insurance billing. So I was feeling ill in late January so I went to my insurance website to find a testing site. I log in, go to the page with the local testing facilities and pick a close one. I get the non-expedited version and pay whatever out of pocket they ask of me. COVID test came back negative, thankfully.
So today I log on to check on my account and I have a $1k claim with insurance coving $100, the rest is considered my deductible. I go back to the test-site-finder on Anthem’s website and notice I don’t see any way of knowing what is and isn’t in or out-of-network. Here is a screenshot of the page. I went to Preston’s pharmacy at the bottom. If you click the name of a location, it just takes you to their website to sign up.
You may notice the “log in” suggestion at the top. However this is completely useless because when I click it, I log in…go to the test-site-finder page…and it once again asks me to log in.
Obviously I’ll call Anthem tomorrow to see what my options are, but am I hosed? Am I still eligible for free COVID testing if I mistakenly go to an out-of-network location?
Thanks for your help and let me know if you have any questions
