I literally just got an amazing job, and it comes with amazing health-insurance offered at day 1. They said they would reimburse me for anything I pay before I get my insurance card.
Well I was diagnosed with cancer, and according to my doctor I need surgery asap. I will have to put a down payment of 6k to get the surgery without my card. I don’t have that kind of money since I have been paying off my debt as fast as possible.
I officially signed up for insurance two days ago. My card wont arrive in the mail until 5-10 business days. So, I was wondering if there was anything I could do to get it faster? My insurance says it only has a 300 deductible, so I could easily afford getting my surgery.
Any tips? Also anything I should look out for while getting surgery that might cost me more?
My insurance is through Aetna, and I live in Texas.
