Health insurance company claims that my plan is inactive even though I’ve paid the premium last month.

I’m 24, make 45k a year and I’m in the Houston area (77062)

So I’m sort of lost on who to reach out to since the representatives at my health insurance have been really unhelpful. Sorry in advance for the long-winded story.

I have Community Health Choice (it’s a Houston based insurance company) and I’m on an HMO plan. I’ve been trying to pick up my prescription for my birth control pills but the pharmacy stated that my prescription was not covered by my health insurance. Which is quite strange because I’ve never had an issue last year or the years before that.

I called to figure out what’s going on and they told me that my policy was inactive and that they’ll submit a form to the eligibility team to get it resolved. They told me to give it 24 hours, so I did just that. Called them up the next day and they told me it was active.

I went to the pharmacy and then they tell THE SAME THING. My prescription was not covered, so I called my health insurance AGAIN. They tell me it’s inactive. We’re basically talking in circles at this point.

To make it short, I’ve called them 5 times within the span of 3 days and everyone keeps telling me different things. I have paid my premium last month and have the bank statements prove it.

Please help. I don’t know what to do and I’m so beyond frustrated. I just need my meds.

Edit: forgot to put my age, income, zip code
