Are the only legitimate plans the ones on the MA Health Connector? We are married, both early sixties, healthy, currently have Tufts Health Direct Silver, which will be $1113/m in January

Searched for Affordable Heath insurance and was besieged with various brokers and too good to be true deals. One was for a religious-based, health sharing plan, not insurance at $500 for both. No thanks.

Another total scam that promised an amazing deal, a “private” plan with no deductible and dental! Broke said you had to be a member to see anything, even basic info, completely fishy. Broker became belligerent and told me I was wasting his time when I would not sign up immediately, fork over $800 for a plan that had zero web presence. The next day the phone number was not working. FWIW, The plan was “First Health PPO”, which turns out to be a doctor network, not insurance.

Does anyone have any insights into any legit alternative plans that not catastrophic plans and require a large deductible to be met? At this point seems the best deal we will get is to just renew. Thanks
