I have an insurance policy as part of my retirement from a municipal job. We moved ~300 miles away from that locality, and I have been working for the last 4 years in a job that provided me with insurance. Since COVID, I’ve dropped down to a per diem position and gone on my wife’s insurance, which is accepted by local doctors. That policy has denied all claims I made, because they are only my secondary insurance, as my retirement policy is in my name, and I am a dependent on her policy.
How do I go about utilizing local doctors and having at least one of my insurances cover my visits, without having to drive 3-6 hrs for appointments?
