Hello! I posted here a few days ago, so if you’d like the longer version please view my last post on my profile.
I am 3 months pregnant and have Blue Cross Blue Shield. I am a dependant on my Dad’s insurance. Because of this, they do not offer maternity care for me, so I am essentially with 0 coverage (because anything can now be argued to be “maternity care”.)
Due to a an on-going divorce, he is unable to cancel his insurance so that I can get kicked off / qualify for a change of life enrollment at my work. (And I hate to cause him the trouble.)
I make too much to qualify for Medicaid, and Planned Parenthood told me they can do nothing to help (I had falsely believed they also provided maternity / prenatal care.)
I’m desperate for help.
Details to help:
- I live in Arizona
- I make $2900 a month before taxes (about $1850 after taxes)
- I live with my boyfriend (if relevant)
- I claim myself on my taxes
Please, if anyone knows any options, I’d be so grateful. At this point it’s feeling like marriage is our only option. I just want to make sure our baby is healthy.
