Hi, I dont know what to do or even if there is anything to do.
My father passed away from covid on Friday and mom wa on his work insurance, Kaiser in SoCal.
She does have Medicare, I assume the hospital part, part B. My questions are, what can i do to keep her insured? Can I get her on part A now or is that only during open enrollment? I should also get her a supplemental, right? Anything else to think about?
Should we just continue cobra until open enrollment?could I add her to my hmo through work?
She is retired and does not qualify for Medicaid.
(Can’t leave without saying: Wear a mask, social distance, donate blood.)
