Why doesn’t this stupid government force insurance companies to allow me to put my parents in my policy. My mom is sick, very sick. She gets worse by the day and I’m in tears as I cannot take care of her the way she cared for me. I’m lucky enough to have a good insurance through ups. I work full time and take care of her. She is not 65 and won’t be for another 10 years so she doesn’t qualify for medicaid. This is more of a rant because I don’t have anyone to speak to about this. I cry when she is asleep so she can’t hear me. I don’t know what to do, I’m only 21. I couldn’t get her a plan through the market place cause even though she is my dependent the age limit is 26. What kinda stupid fucking system is this? I can’t handle this, the market place plans are outright ridiculous if you don’t have the premium tax credit help. I’m failing my mother and I have no idea how to help her get better. My last option is taking her to the emergency room and rack up the bills. I done it a couple of times so fuck it. Am I gonna be in debt for most of my life because of this stupid system? Yes. But I cannot see my mother in pain anymore.
