I have a question about how billing occurs. We had to have a surgery done on our son. We had switched insurance companies before this and they accepted the previous insurance. They did not tell us that they didn’t accept the new insurance. We just received an explanation of benefits that states that we owe 9800 to the hospital. I’m wanting to know if they hospital is at fault for not telling us that we were out of network for the new insurance. At this point we haven’t received the actual bill yet. Location is Tennessee.
