Massachussetts charges you a tax penalty if your plan doesn’t fall under its Health Connector???

(Apologies in advanced if my question is obvious and stupid.)

I graduated school and got a job in 2020 located in Massachusetts. I didn’t bother enrolling in my employer’s plan because I am still covered by my mom’ employer’s Humana plan. (She works at a private hospital in a different state if that matters.)

I am filing my taxes now and have reached the portion where I’m asked if my plan qualifies for Massachusett’s MCC (minimum creditable coverage). I have zero idea what that means, and tried to google for the past hour and still don’t know what that is. However, I saw that you must buy a plan under Massachusetts Health Connector or else you will be penalized (Source: reddit post, the balance). I have checked Massachusett’s Health Connector site and could not find Humana (Source: the dashboard using applicable filters).

Does this mean I will have to pay the hundreds of dollars now? Is there an exempt that I don’t know about for adults under 26/under parents’ plan?
