Hello,
I recently accepted a position at a small company that offers no health insurance but gives an HRA for $300/mo. I was told this money can be used to pay for a marketplace plan, but there is no way to enter info about this thing into the application, and the marketplace support services have been extremely unhelpful.
If I don’t enter the HRA info, I get “approved” for a slap in the face $365/mo tax credit that I know I don’t actually qualify for since the HRA coverage is considered “affordable”.
My new employer seems to know next to nothing about how the HRA actually works, so I’m in the dark and figured I’d ask reddit and see if anyone has any experience with this.
What am I supposed to do here?
Thanks for your time!
