A few months ago, I called my insurance provider to ask about allergy test and shots as my allergies were getting worse. I asked what my coverage would be and what my out of pocket costs would be roughly and the insurance representative said that it was covered 100% besides the copay. I should of knew that it was too good to be true because I finally received a huge bill from my medical provider. I reached out to my insurance company again this time through their online portal and they apologized for the other representative providing the wrong information and now I am stuck with a bill that I can’t afford. What are my options?
Edit: Forgot to mention that I am in NYC if that changes anything.
