I’m trying to decide between HDHP vs traditional. I’d love to use traditional out of convenience, however I can’t get the numbers to work. Am I missing something?
Traditional would run me $7500 for the year with a $1k deductible.
HDHP would cost $3200 with a $3k deductible.
Both plans appear to be equal once deductible is hit.
HDHP seems to save me $1k even if I had to pay the $3k for something big in January. After that all things cost 10%.
Am I missing something with the math here?
