I’m self-employed, with no employees, based in NYC, but have been working remotely in CA for most of the year. Looking at plans in CA, Kaiser and Anthem only offer HMOs, Blue Shield offers HMOs and PPOs. Are HMO plans with Kaiser better than PPO plans with Blue Shield?
I’m leaning towards a Bronze HSA or Silver plan. I’m 40 and I generally only go to the doctor for preventive care and occasionally see a specialist or PT for overuse injuries.
