So, my head is spinning after trying to figure all this out and compare plans. I’ve called Highmark, and they are of course, unhelpful. The plan I had last year, which I was able to add-on Dominion Delta Dental for a separate premium, is not available.
From the 2 plans I have to consider, one includes vision and dental, and one does not. The difference is about $41/ month ($489/year). The vision is through Davis and the dental through United Concordia. Highmark could give me zero details about the dental & vision, other than the premiums are rolled into my monthly Highmark premium.
So , I guess these are my questions:Is this dental & vision through Highmark worth it? Should I get dental and vision separately on my own? Are dental and vision insurance even worth it? To add, I have no dental issues- I had 2 cleanings last year, and only one cavity from when I was young. I do have pretty bad eyesight with astigmatism and require glasses & contacts.
Any help is so appreciated.
