CA – Are monthly Tele-health appointments for prescription renewal (psychiatrist/ADD medication) billed as specialist? Do I need to pay a co-pay for this every time?

Will be buying from the CoveredCA marketplace this year as it looks like I’m gonna be an independent contractor.

As someone that takes a “controlled” medication I have to renew my prescription every month with my doctor. We’ve been doing this via extremely brief tele-health chats.

My question is do I need to pay a co-pay for that? I litteraly can’t get the prescription with out speaking with the doctor, but it’s not neccessary for the doctor to provide me with any care or anything. Just 30sec of their time. Which could even be over the phone I assume. I really don’t want to pay $35 bucks a month on top of the medication co-pay for what is essentially procedural and 100% unavoidable.
