I am interviewing for a remote position based in Northern Virginia. They only offer Kaiser Permanente health insurance. I currently live in Hampton Roads, VA (23508) and cannot use Kaiser Permanente. I am looking to relocate to a different state (74012 ish) that I also can’t use KP in. Am I eligible for Marketplace coverage? I did call them and try to explain to the best of my ability, but I’m not sure the lady understood, she just told me to apply and find out. I am basing my acceptance of this job on whether I can just buy my own health insurance coverage.
I am 33, not low income and won’t qualify for any subsidies, I just need a super basic HDHP. If it helps, I am also enrolled in the Cherokee Nation (saw a bunch of stuff on the site for Natives, but couldn’t parse it too well). Thanks in advance.
