I recently ordered a prescription I need and was informed by the pharmacy that they are out of stock on the generic. They said it might be months before they get it back and my only option is the brand name. The issue is I need this monthly and the copay for the brand name is 10 times the cost of the generic. This would be difficult for me to afford. Are there any options I have? Feels a bit like a problem on their end that I shouldn’t have to pay for. I emailed my doctor to see if I can get a different medication, so I’m waiting on that.
