My mother recently stayed at a hospital for several days due a doctor’s recommendation; blood pressure was too high, should stay for further observation. Her health insurance company sent an EOB showing that the inpatient services were denied due to not medically necessary, allowed amount $30000, but member’s responsibility is $0. When my mother and I called the insurance company, we submitted appeals and they were denied. However, we still have not received any bills from the hospital/doctor. Should we be concerned?
