I’m recently unemployed and shopping the ACA marketplace in Utah. Emergency Room Care is covered, but every single available plan for “Inpatient doctor and surgical services” and”Inpatient Hospital services” Out of Network is “Benefit Not Covered”
Am I missing something? If I’m say traveling out of state or just not even near where there’s a plan hospital, get in a car accident that puts me in some random hospital for several days, I’m basically SOL and paying for everything outside the initial ER room? What’s even the point of insurance?
