ACA and Remote Job Offers

So judge me Reddit Hivemind….but I need your help….

…So, I’m on Obamacare and recently received a job offer this week after trying like hell to switch careers/get a job in Data Analysis for MONTHS.

And thennnn BOOYAH, I GOT IT THIS WEEK!

Well….I got an offer and the company is based out of Wisconsin, while I’m in SC.

Now….I will be talking to a VP about the offer/benefits package today….and while they do have an insurance package….I’m not 100% sure that will be viable for me since I’m out of state….so I’m not sure of whether that means I will keep my health insurance/the financial help from the ACA for my health insurance, or if that constitutes an offer of health insurance and I don’t receive ANY of that assistance on the insurance payment going forward?? Can anyone tell me?

That definitely effects what I ask for on the counter offer (Now…I’m more so happy to get my foot in the door in this type of role….but I do think the pay is a weeee bit low for what the role technically is)

Furthermore, if I HAVE to take whatever health insurance they throw at me/I cant keep the one I’m still on, which is pretty decent….that would kind of really suck if it isn’t better….let alone it’s less benefits/compensation to me from the company (if that makes sense), as well as I already need to verify how much this would change my monthly payment amount for insurance.

I have not talked to the VP yet/we are talking sometime this morning in a couple hours, but I want to be aware of what some of these answers would be because I don’t wanna find out I’m paying a lot of money for health insurance or not be prepared for negotiating for where things REALLY stand and not just where I think they are (if that makes sense, ie uneducated guesses).

Thank you.
