I’ve worked all of my life and live in the US. Due to this I’ve always had health insurance through my employer. However, I’m finding it difficult to continue working full time and starting an internship for a grad program. I have been considering falling below full time to part time where I work or even just quitting and picking up odd end jobs where I can give my full attention to my desired career with a flexible schedule.
I was wondering what options I have for health insurance that’s cost effective without working somewhere full time? Would I be able to apply through the government for a reasonable amount or is there a cheaper option? I would prefer to not be without health insurance during a pandemic if possible. I would be grateful for any advice. Feel a little lost in the how to, like can I even enroll if I quit my job or do I have to wait for next December’s enrollment plan?
