I was recently in a pretty bad car accident I was at fault for. I was severely concussed and was practically unconscious. The on sight team decided to needed to be flown to a hospital pretty far. I just got a letter from my insurance (GeoBlue) saying of my $50,568.40 medical helicopter bill, they would only pay $8,313.48. Meaning my responsibility will be $42,254.92. I currently only have roughly 7 thousand dollars and don’t think this is even remotely possible to pay off with my means.
Can anyone offer me any advice on what I need to do or how I need to deal with this? It’s my parents insurance plan and they keep telling me not to worry but I’m absolutely freaking out.
