First issue. My mum started a new job and she doesn’t need any insurance because she is on my dad’s plan. We were just looking at the plan they were offering and holy shit is this legal?!
A BCBS plan. Sum it up. Every year your insurance goes up based on your age. I’m talking really up. We did the math and for 1 single employee aged 55, not covering their spouse or kids at age would be paying a little under 10k a year! You want your spouse on the plan? Double it. You want your spouse and 1 kid, triple it, even though most kids are not old enough for it in the formula they gave (started at age 18). This shit doesn’t even fully cover prescriptions or mental health coverage. I can’t remember for sure, but it was between a 5-7% price increase every year.
Next part is for me. I have 2 issues. I just got a new prescription for a medication I have never taken. Well. CVS CareMark sent me that letter of everything needs to be a 90 day supply, even though this is a brand new medication that I don’t even know if I will be on it for a 30 day prescription. I have severe allergies to certain meds, and why the hell would i want to have a 90 day supply of that?
Part 2 of that. I have taken Tri-Estarylla since i was 17, I’m…. a lot older than that now. CVS says they cover the name brand. I have a prescription for the name brand. They give me an off brand I have never heard of. I know they say that off brands are the same exact thing as the name brand, but I have 100% not found that true when it comes to birth control. The name brand helps me with my acne, the generic I was given about a year ago broke me out so badly that 6 months in I begged to get the name brand. Recieved Tri-Estarylla again. Acne cleared up in a week.
