I have a business where me and my spouse are the sole employees. In Georgia, the general rule is that groups must be 2 or more employees and can’t be spouses. Anthem/BCBS was the only one we found that would let a spousal group join in 2020, but they will not let us renew without an employee for 2021 (open enrollment is now for us and we just found out about this).
Are there any options outside of the marketplace to get group insurance for a group of two? We don’t qualify for most short-term plans. We can definitely go the marketplace route but would like to avoid it because of provider availability, etc.
