Any way to stay on wife’s insurance?

I recently switched jobs. Health Insurance at my old job (small firm) was $4/paycheck for good insurance. When I left, I ended up jumping on my wife’s insurance until I figured out everything else. Open enrollment at my new company is coming up and it is $112/paycheck for comparable coverage. My wife’s insurance says that since my employer pays a portion of it, I cannot stay on her insurance. So am I stuck paying a 2,700% increase for something I never use? If I was able to stay on my wife’s, we would save thousands vs being on our separate plans. Thanks in advance!
