Bills for physical therapy not covered – What can I do?

Decided to check into my medical insurance portal as I do occasionally and noticed my last 10 physical therapy appointments were not covered by insurance. I had specifically checked in my employee portal when signing up that physical therapy was covered. It stated 10% coinsurance after deductible for PT which was fine by me. However, if you download a separate document through the link at the bottom and scroll through about 10 pages, it states that the coverage is limited to 20 sessions a year. I did not realize that until today. My physical therapist did not notify me nor did I receive any emails that the past 10 claims were denied and my insurance ran out. I have yet to be sent any bills from the physical therapist but I do see the denied claims in my portal.

What can I do here to limit the financial burden? I’m about $1.4k away from my max out-of-pocket and the billed amount totals to ~$2.2k. Is it possible that the PT may never send me a bill and I’d be fine? I have enough in my HSA to pay it and plenty in savings but I’d rather not if possible considering the lack of transparency. I would have stopped going had I known it was not covered (I can do all the exercises at home and am completely independent 97% of the sessions; it’s just good to have a consistent location for habitual reasons).
