Blue cross blue shield inactivated my son’s account due to not having birth certificate on file. They said they sent two letters (that we never received). No phone call or email. Son will only have insurance after 30 days because of their mistake. What can we do to fight this?

How can they inactivate our son’s insurance without doing their due diligence in trying to reach us?

We now had to pay $200 out of pocket for our son’s doctor’s appointment. Can we get reimbursed for that?

Can we sue? What are our options? Thank you
