We’re Maryland Residents – Hubs got a vasectomy about 2 months ago and we just got a bill in the mail for nearly 1k. Vasectomies are supposed to be free under Maryland’s Health Insurance Contraceptive Equity Act from 2018.
He called BCBS today and they said that because they’re based in Massachusetts, that they go by federal guidelines and not state.
What are out next options on how to argue this, or are we SOL?
