(California) Had a PCP visit on zoom yesterday. Billed as moderate-complex for 15 min appointment. My insurance copay is $25 (deductible waived). My insurance in January 2022 will change to me paying the deductible then insurance will pay 30%. What will be my cost for the same apt February 2021.

So I saw my doctor 11/2 with telehealth; I believe it is billed as existing moderate-complex. Insurance is going to be charged $680.

Just want to make sure I understand this:

Will it be $25 copay for me right now? I started this job 8/2021, insurance kicked in 11/1/2021. Open enrollment is going on now so I can change to a cheaper plan (i.e. HDHP; total deductible will be $6000) which will change the PCP office visits from $25 copay (deductible waived) to 30% coinsurance (deductible not waived). Would my follow-up visit in February 2021 be billed the same way? BUT I will pay $680!?

Should I run and get all the services I can get in November and December 2021!?!?
