I have recently broke a good portion of a tooth off and I believe it will require a root canal. I have a medi-cal managed dental plan through Health-Net. After reviewing what’s covered, the tooth I broke does not appear to be available. I’m wondering if being a medi-cal recipient if it would be acceptable for me to purchase a private HMO plan in addition to my Medi-Cal Health-Net. Or are there any rules against purchasing additional coverage in California?
